The VP Students Office (VPSO) coordinates the University’s response to critical incidents involving students. A crisis can be caused by events such as physical or emotional injury or illness, thoughts of suicide, harassment or discrimination, worries about your safety, substance misuse, violence, or academic failure.

The VP Students Office (VPSO) coordinates the University’s response to critical incidents involving students which includes:

  • Gathering information
  • Supporting the affected students and the surrounding student community
  • Coordinating communication
  • Supporting instructors and administrators to help students in very difficult circumstances

Student Health Services, Counselling Services, Campus Security, the RCMP and other resource groups work with the VP Students Office to ensure students receive the support they require.
