Local Health & Safety Committee

We all share in making the UBC workplaces safe and healthy. The Local Health and Safety Committee helps to stimulate or raise awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace, recognizes and identifies workplace risks and develops recommendations for the employer to address these risks.

The university has more than 100 Local Health and Safety Committees. If you have a safety concern contact your building or area LHSC co-chair. If you are not able to find an LHSC for your area please contact the RMS Safety Programs Advisor or phone 604-822-6513.
